U.S. Trade Policy Tracker: April 2007 Update

Continued American leadership on international trade depends not only on U.S. trade negotiators’ intensive efforts, but also on con­gressional support and advancement of free trade policies. Congress should approve FTAs with Colombia, Peru, Panama, and South Korea and renew trade promotion authority. Expand­ing global trade and America’s role in world markets is fundamental to building a stronger economy at home and promoting economic growth and prosperity abroad.
