The Endangered Species Act at 40: Species Profiles: Hoover’s Woolly-Star

The delisting of Hoover’s woolly-star is due to data error, not successful recovery under the Endangered Species Act. The combination of the woolly-star’s massive population increase, range expansion, and that almost all of what were thought to be threats turned out not to be threats or pose significantly less of a threat.
