How to Submit an Event to InsiderOnline’s Conservative Calendar
InsiderOnline welcomes submissions to its Conservative Calendar. Please note: InsiderOnline’s editors will review all submissions, and posting is at the discretion of the editors. The editors may also edit submissions for space and style. The editors cannot post events that promote a political party or candidate, or are intended to aid or hinder the passage of any bill before Congress.
The Conservative Calendar is a service to the conservative public policy community. It features events that seek to educate about public policy issues that limit government, expand individual freedom, advance a strong national defense, and promote traditional values; as well as events for conservatives to meet, network, and socialize.
In order to post events to InsiderOnline’s Conservative Calendar, you must be a subscribed user of Upcoming.org or have a Yahoo e-mail account. Upcoming.org is a free Web application that anyone can use. Follow the instructions below to sign up.
1. Subscribe to Upcoming.org- Go to Upcoming.org Sign in or Join now page.
- Fill in the form on the page and click on the “Create My Account” button to create an account.

If you are an existing yahoo user and have a username and password, you may click on the “Sign In” button on the top right corner of the page.
Fill in your username, password and click the “Sign In” button.- Go to Upcoming.org Sign in or Join now page.

2. Join “The Heritage Foundation” Upcoming.org Events Group
- Go to the Upcoming Group page click on the “Group” menu at the top of any Upcoming page.
- Type “The Heritage Foundation” in the search box and click on the “Search Groups” button.
- Click on “The Heritage Foundation” link.
- Click on the “Join this group” button to join “The Heritage Foundation” group.

3. Post Events to “The Heritage Foundation” Events Group
- Go to Upcoming.org Add Events page.
- Fill in the information on the form and click on the “Preview” button after completion.
- When you type in the “Venue Box” a pull-down list will appear. Check to see if your venue is already listed. If your venue is not already listed, click on the “Not listed? Add a new venue” link, to open a pop-up window. Fill in the information on the form and click on the “Submit” button.
- You may use html codes for bold and italic.
- It is strongly suggested that in the event description field you enter the host name first using html codes for bold—e.g., <b>Host: The Heritage Foundation.</b>
- Continue filling the form and select the “Preview” button to review the post.
- After confirming the event details, click on the “Add Event” button to post your event to “The Heritage Foundation” group.
