An Explosion in State Consumer Protection Litigation

Consumer protection litigation under state law has more than doubled since 2000, according to a report by the Searle Center on Law Regulation and Economic Growth. That report also estimates that 78 percent of those cases do not involve any conduct that would be illegal under Federal Trade Commission consumer protection regulations.  You can find out more about what is driving consumer protection litigation by watching an upcoming “Webinar” on the Searle Center report, hosted by the American Bar Association.
